Rajiv Academy for Pharmacy at Mathura, a premier Pharmacy Institute in Uttar Pradesh, was established in the year 1999 with the main objective of imparting quality pharmaceutical education. The Institute is approved by apex professional bodies like Pharmacy Council of India (P C I), New Delhi, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. Since its inception the Institute is imparting quality education to undergraduates. It is a matter of honour that in the year, 2004 the Institute was recognized as postgraduate study centre for running M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) by U.P. Technical University, Lucknow and is also approved as research centre by the University. Today, within a short span of six years of its inception the Institute is providing total pharmaceutical education comprising B.Pharm, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry) and Ph.D. All the courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

All the milestones of achievement were possible under the dynamic leadership of the founder Director of the Academy Dr. Devender Pathak (M.Pharm, Ph.D.). He holds various portfolios : President APTI U.P. State branch; member of Academic Council and member of Board of studies of U.P.T.U Lucknow. The leadership is further strengthened by the well qualified and experienced staff members who strive for academic excellence resulting in number of students achieving merit positions in the University list. A large section of students have qualified the GATE examination for post graduate course.

The academic excellence is a result of excellent infrastructure in the form of well equipped laboratories. The Institute has fourteen well equipped laboratories with advanced instruments like FTIR, HPLC, UV & Visible Spectrophotometer, Brookfield Viscometer, Photometergraph etc and various pharmaceutical machineries in machine room, Instrument lab, sophisticated Instrumentation centre. Museum and Medicinal Garden add up to the technical outlook. The Library of the Institute has a collection of around 5000 selected books and 25 journals of national and 5 of International repute. The class rooms are provided with OHP, LCD and slide projector facilities . The students are exposed to lectures by invited professional dignitaries of national and international repute.

The Institute also nurtures an established and effective training and placement cell. It is a matter of pride that the Institute enjoys 100 % placement of its students in pharmaceutical houses like Ranbaxy labs, Panacea Biotech, Ind-Swift Laboratories, Ahlcon Parenterals (P) Ltd, Bhiwadi, Apex Laboratories Chennai, Pfizer India Ltd to name some. The students are well absorbed in production, marketing and Research and Development, Quality Control, Quality Assurance sections of the manufacturing units. A cross-section of the students are pursuing post graduate education.
